Days Out guides from a Brummy Mummy

Greetings, fellow Brummy Mummies, parents and adventure enthusiasts! I’m Lavania, the driving force behind “The Amazing Adventures of Me.” If you’re on the hunt for family-friendly escapades and hidden gems in and around Birmingham, you’ve just stumbled upon your new favourite hub! I have been sharing reviews for years – back when trip advisor was a thing I used to travel a lot for work – I had a sharp tongue and my sarcastic reviews from terrible experiences used to get a lot of attention. One of my reviews about a pigeon falling through a skylight in a Hilton hit the news! I have always relied on reviews to plan my trips, from hotel stays to food purchases to try and avoid disasters like that again. I’m a typical brummy mummy with a sense of humour and a glass half full type of attitude.

You don’t often find negative reviews here on this mommy blog because I like to plan ahead for all of our days out in Birmingham. We make the most out of every situation, and always have wellies and spare clothes in the car boot so whatever the weather we have a good time.

Now that this blog has been going for some time we do often get invited to review places – attending press days, exclusive events and so on – where this is the case I will still share my opinions and experiences with you as they occur.

Brummy Mummy parents and adventurers! Now I’m a single parent. I work as a teacher and we are in a cost of living crisis so my time and money are precious to me and I’m determined to make as many positive memories with my son Arlo as I possibly can. Arlo is in the midst of an ADHD / ASD diagnosis so it’s vital that I am organised and prepare for our adventures. Knowing what to expect, and the facilities available is important to Arlo and so we share our experiences and guides to help other families make informed decisions.

Today, “The Amazing Adventures of Me” stands tall as your go-to guide for curating extraordinary family experiences, especially for children with additional needs.

We live in Birmingham so most of our family days out in the Midlands are near to Birmingham. We drive so do like to go further afield sometimes but usually no more than an hours drive away.

There are also some other bits and bobs on this mum blog including lifestyle posts, theatre and food reviews so have a mooch around if you’re at a loose end and looking for some inspiration.
