There’s nothing I love more than a craft which features pom-poms, because it means that Arlo will love it. There are so many different ideas for fillable baubles – this is simple and so effective…. so here’s another easy Christmas craft for you to try along with us.
For this project you will need:
- Transparent fillable baubles
- White pom-poms
- Black and orange vinyl decals
- Transfer tape
- Ribbon to decorate
This is a deisgn bundles SVG project so you will need a cutting machine such as a silhouette cameo or a cricut to cut the vinyl decals. You could use paint or chalk pens to also create the same effect.
I used a snowman SVG, importing the design to my software and cutting out the carrot nose from orange vinyl and the coal mouth and eyes from black.
I then weeded the design and used transfer tape to apply the decals to the bauble.
Once these were prepared it was Arlo’s task to fill each bauble with white pom-poms – this took a while because he insisted on counting them all – which of course I don’t mind as it’s an opportunity to learn and he’s working on those fine motor skills every time he pinches one to pick it up.
Eventually I helped him to close the two halves of baubles shut which is when our snowman faces were revealed for the first time. I can’t wait to put these on our Christmas tree this year.
I have lots of other Christmas crafts for kids for you to explore on my blog – let us know if you try any of these out!
