If you’re looking for Valentines Day crafts that are simple, stylish, and genuinely beginner-friendly, these Cricut projects are perfect. I made all of these live on Hobbycraft TV using a Cricut and every single one can be recreated at home.
All of these Valentines crafts were made using Cricut Design Space, with simple materials and techniques that are perfect for beginners or anyone wanting quick, satisfying results.
Easy Valentines Day Crafts Using a Cricut
These projects range from vinyl decals and cards to iron-on designs and simple 3D makes. They’re ideal for gifts, date nights, or Valentine’s décor and every one of them can be adapted for other occasions too.
Jar of Joy: A Simple Valentines Vinyl Project

This is one of the easiest Valentines crafts you can make with a Cricut and a great confidence-builder if you’re new to vinyl.
I used a plain glass jar and applied a simple decal made up of text and heart shapes. The design is minimal, but the finished result looks really effective and works beautifully as a keepsake gift.
You can use the jar to hold handwritten notes, affirmations, or little surprises, which makes it perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or even self-care reminders.
Mini Envelopes for Date Night Ideas

These tiny envelopes were designed by the fabulous Kate (Makery Kate) to sit inside the Jar of Joy and are such a fun way to personalise your project.
Using the Cricut, I cut the envelopes from card and added text to the front of each one. Inside, you can use the pen tool to write messages, perhaps include ideas for date nights, activities, or thoughtful messages making this a lovely interactive gift.
I used four different colours of A4 card and managed to get six on each piece – plus I used some vinyl offcuts to make some hearts to seal the envelopes and also tried out some print and cut heart stickers too.
This project is ideal if you’re looking for craft ideas for Valentines that feel meaningful without being complicated.
Valentines Day Card Crafts Using Design Space

If you’re short on time or new to Cricut, ready-to-make projects in Design Space are your best friend.
There are dozens of Valentines Day card crafts already available, and I made one live on TV as well as several demo versions. These are perfect for learning how card mats work and for getting a professional finish without designing from scratch.
You can add to existing designs to personalise them as well as include sentiments on the interior of cards too.
This is one of the easiest ways to create handmade cards that don’t feel stressful or overwhelming.
Cricut Valentines T-Shirt Using Iron-On Vinyl

Custom clothing always looks impressive, but it’s surprisingly simple with iron-on vinyl.
For this project, I searched the image library in Design Space for the word “love” and found hundreds of design options. The one I chose is: #M44EE8126 – a simple Valentine’s-themed graphic and applied it to a t-shirt using iron-on vinyl.
I also wore a matching version myself on the show, and also added the same design to a baby vest which shows just how easy it is to create coordinated or personalised pieces with minimal effort.
Movie Night Snack Box with Layered Vinyl

This project is a great introduction to layering vinyl and using the contour tool.
I created a movie snack box by adding text in the usual way and then used the contour tool to add a bubble shape around the whole thing. Plus a few extra dinosaur footprints too. This helps the wording stand out and makes the design pop when applied to boxes, jars, or containers.
It’s a brilliant way to level up simple DIY Valentines crafts while still keeping things beginner-friendly.
Valentines Crackers: A Beginner 3D Cricut Project

If you’re ready to try something slightly more advanced, these Valentine’s crackers are a lovely next step.
The Cricut cuts the card, which is then folded into a 3D shape. I added vinyl details to the crackers and tied them with ribbon, finishing with small iron-on glitter hearts made from offcuts for an extra decorative touch.
You can fill these with all sorts of surprises – sweets and stickers perhaps?
This project shows how a Cricut can be used for more than flat designs and is perfect for table décor or small gifts.
