We were delighted to be invited to see a new Celestial show after being blown away with their Evolution tour last year. Edgbaston Cricket Ground was a fabulous venue for this spectacular light display. Its logistics were well-organized, with several parking options nearby, a prime Birmingham city-centre location, and a dedicated team of experienced stewards ensuring quick access, smooth security checks, and an overall sense of safety and efficiency.
The venue itself was clean and well-managed, and while there were queues, they moved efficiently. The pre-show atmosphere was fantastic, with entertainment, music, and a PA system filling the forum, creating a buzz of anticipation. A compere warmed up the crowd with a Mexican wave ,and a crowd cam added to the fun, making it an unforgettable time before the main event.

This aerial display took the audience on a true visual masterpiece, using a fleet of drones to create spectacular displays in the night sky. The drone swarm worked in perfect harmony, forming bespoke drone formations that brought The Wizard of Oz to life with themes of transformation and epic storytelling.

This was our third time experiencing one of the Celestial Drone Show UK events but our first time seeing The Wizard of Oz adaptation—and we were blown away. We’ve already signed up for ticket alerts via Say Yuup and are eager to see what Celestial brings next. In fact, we’ve already suggested it to family members and hope they extend the tour dates to bring it back to Birmingham!
