When life feels heavy what do you do to charge you When life feels heavy what do you do to charge your soul?Channelling all that pent up energy in to a workout and seeing the sweat drop off makes you feel lighter both physically and figuratively. All week I’ve felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders but now I feel like I’m walking on air.Video shows me doing hanging knee raises - I’ve been working on these for a while and keep checking my form, trying to stop swinging and get my knees higher as well as stay hanging for longer. It’s a workout for your abs which I hate doing but because my focus is on my hands and shoulders I don’t even think about that. I’m hoping that eventually I’ll be able to do a pull up - but one step at a time!

This is your sign to get your kids registered for This is your sign to get your kids registered for a blue Peter badge. It’s easy to apply, your kids just need to tell them about something they’ve done - such as music or sports and then the badge and an ID card comes in the post.I keep ours on a lanyard in the glovebox because you can use it to get free entry to loads of attractions all over the UK.So if you do this now you’ll hopefully get it in time for the summer holidays.Read my blog post for more information such as how to apply and some of the many attractions Arlo has visited for FREEhttps://arloriverrex.com/blue-peter-badges-the-free-pass-every-uk-family-should-know-about/
A cracking roast….. /adToday Arlo and I were A cracking roast….. /adToday Arlo and I were lucky enough to be treated to a slap up roast @therollingmilljq - they have a new summer menu and as we are always in the area on a Sunday for Pokemon club we decided to head across the road.Even better - there’s 20% off for students and NHSWhat a beautiful restaurant, certainly do not judge a book by its cover because inside the relaxed and cosy vibes make you feel welcome immediately. I can’t believe we’ve waited so long to step inside! We opted for the lamb and the beef roast dinners alongside pigs in blankets and sweetcorn ribs. Every single morsel of this food was delicious. The portion size was just right, the meat was tender and great quality, the roasties had the right crisp to fluff ratio, the seasonal greens had a zingy lemon zest dressing and the carrots had been sprinkled with fresh thyme. Not to mention the gigantic yorkshires which were mouthwatering, and the gravy which was just right! The Oreo cheesecake dessert was super creamy and I have fomo for the other desserts on the menu … the pistachio croissant caught my attention for sure so I think I’ll be popping in just to try that out very soon!Washing everything down with fruity mocktails was the cherry on top for me….. if you’re around on a Friday they have a 241 cocktails offer 🍹I very rarely go out for a Sunday roast because I cook a slap up one myself, so I have to give it to the rolling mill…. you guys really delivered with this and we’re happy to recommend…. We left feeling full up and feeling fabulous so thanks for having us!
Raising them right! The raving crew was out in f Raising them right! The raving crew was out in full force this afternoon with @officialsosolid Lisa Mafia and Romeo bringing the banging tunes, confetti cannons and festival vibes to @luna_springs_digbeth with @ravertots - I’ve been saying for years that we need something like this, because let’s face it is moms don’t get a chance to skank it out often enough! I’m not sure who was hanging more fun, the kids or the grown ups but it was just what I needed this Sunday to end the weekend but kickstart our summer! Not an ad - we just had a bloody good time so I wanted to share 💖
No child was harmed in the making of our pyramid 😂
Pool day!Yesterday we went to the best spot in Pool day!Yesterday we went to the best spot in the Midlands to cool down - Droitwich Lido which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. It’s quite an effort to get booked in for predicted heatwaves with a limited number of slots per session available but it makes the experience enjoyable for everyone.Splashing around for a couple of hours was just what we needed and then just to make things even better, the park was hosting a mini festival with live music and street food. The kids convinced me to get them a pick and mix before a lark in the park.I noticed a little bit of construction is happening towards a brand new splash pad in the park which will be amazing to add to the map, as the existing free to access one is tiny - swipe to see - I’ll keep my beady eyes open for an opening date to share with you all!
Happy Birthday Logan!Fab afternoon celebrating Happy Birthday Logan!Fab afternoon celebrating our summer solstice teen by putting him at the bottom of our pyramid! Doesn’t he look delighted 😂
Happy Birthday Arlo! 🎉💛🦕🦖You’re ki Happy Birthday Arlo! 🎉💛🦕🦖You’re kind, caring, polite and have such a way with words it makes people do a double take! You never give up (even when things are really tricky), and you take on the world one Lego masterpiece at a time.Your jokes are cheeky, clever, and way too good for an 8-year-old… and your charm? Unmatched.I’m so proud of you… not just for what you do, but for who you are
LEGOLAND 💙💛💚♥️The kids had the best LEGOLAND 💙💛💚♥️The kids had the best time today …. and so did the grown ups. What a perfect way to spend a birthday!! The team gave him a huge birthday badge as we arrived which made him very happy! We love @legolandwindsor and can’t wait to go back, a great mixture of family friendly rides for Arlo’s age with just enough adventure and thrill to keep the teenager happy and the grownups smiling throughout. The flight of the Sky Lion will forever be our fave ride for so many reasons. The tech, sensory features and the unique tech just makes it a novel experience. We started at Speedway just to get the biggest/fastest rollercoaster on the park out of the way (and we were on the winning team) then wandered all over the park, (14,000 steps!!) enjoying the beautiful weather and going on as many rides as we could manage…. The RAP pass booking system never let us down and we managed to get on all of the rides we wanted to - we ended the day at Pirate falls with a huge splash!Themes are on point throughout ….. who doesn’t love lego? Mini land is incredible with a newly refurbished London and there are so many little models around the lark to spot, every time we visit we find something new.The pasta and pizza buffet had a fab discount offer on after 2pm for pass holders, something for everyone with a fresh salad bar and loads of different pizza flavours. We didn’t want to leave, the Lego store just had far too much choice and it’s all so tempting - Arlo got a minifigure Fortnite set with his birthday money. What a birthday!
